A few words about Cambodia

Talking about Cambodia I can certaily make a special reference to Angkor Wat, the magnificent complex of approximately 1000 Hindu and Buddhist temples that started to be built from the Khmer nation in the 10th century and were discovered by the Westerns 8 centuries later!

Some of the temples are today in good condition although there are delays in their preservation due to the civil war. Some other have been devoured by the jungle, offering an amazing spectacle.

The inland still lives with infrastructures from another era. Electricity is a luxury outside large towns; and how could that be different with the average inhabitant living on 1$ a day.

Besides all the above, the percentage of Mercedes cars per person in Phnom Penh outnumber this average in Stuttgard, a characteristic of the social inequalities and the revenue coming from unknown sources which markup this country.
